Our Neuroscience & Spine Services
The brain is the conductor of the body’s symphony – directing all the organs, tissues, breathing and thinking we do in perfect timing.
Logan Health’s Neuroscience & Spine services offer complete neurological evaluation, treatment and follow-up for patients with conditions of the brain, spine and nervous system. Neuroscience services include evaluations and diagnostic testing for conditions such as stroke, seizures, headaches, Parkinson’s disease, dementias, motor neuron disease and a wide variety of other neurological conditions.
We place an emphasis on helping each patient maintain his or her quality of life, as well as providing education and support to patients, families and caregivers. In addition to providing these critical services close to home, our providers travel throughout the state via our outreach program.
Education and Events
Neuroscience & Spine’s skilled physicians and staff are here to help our community. Throughout the year we offer various professional development courses, conferences for advanced practice providers, and community education and training courses. Our neuroscience providers place great emphasis on education with our Stroke Prevention and Save the Brain programs.
Our department also offers an internship program, the Peter M. Sorini, MD Educational Endowment internship, created in the honor of the late Peter Sorini, MD. The summer internship program is funded by an endowment that has been started through the Logan Health Foundation. This program provides college students the opportunity to experience clinical neurosciences, with the anticipation of inspiring future career paths within the field. The interns have the opportunity to intern with departments of neurology, neurosurgery, and physical medicine & rehabilitation, for a five-week rotation.
Save the Brain Conference and Training
Our Save the Brain program is a nonprofit initiative co-managed by the Neuroscience & Spine Institute and Logan Health Medical Fitness Center. The mission of this program is to develop and promote a cohesive and coherent concussion education, evaluation, and treatment system related to concussion care to our community.
