Renee August, M.Ed, Manager of Child Care Services at Logan Health’s Kid Kare, was recently awarded by the Montana Association for the Education of Young Children (MTAEYC), an affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, for excellence in program administration.
At their conference last month in Billings, the MTAEYC named Renee the winner of the Early Childhood Excellence in Program Administration Award, where she was one of nine finalists from across the state. The award recognizes outstanding administrative and professional performance. According to the group, Renee encompassed many characteristics including operational excellence, exceptional service, positive impact, leadership, mentorship and community service.
Renee took over the program in September 2022 and has made a huge impact on her staff and the families during that time. During the past year she has been over the program, Kid Kare was awarded a STAR 3 Award in June and won the Daily Interlake’s Best of the Flathead Award for Best Childcare.
