Laura Mirch, MD, joined Logan Health as a Hospitalist in September 2012. Dr. Mirch is a California native who graduated with a biology baccalaureate from Carroll College, Helena. During her undergraduate studies, she participated in research on detecting genetic predisposition to colorectal cancer and spent a short term of study at the National University of Ireland. She graduated magna cum laude with a doctorate in medicine from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska, and then completed her internal medicine residency with the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia Health Systems in Charlottesville. Dr. Mirch earned many academic honors and carried out leadership roles in several community venues. She is married to Justin Ahmann, a civil engineer with a survey company in Whitefish. They have two young children. When she is away from the hospital, she enjoys golf, skiing, traveling, reading, running and spending time with her family.
