Kathleen F. Olson, APRN, WHNP-BC, joined the team at Logan Health Women’s Care in February 2009. She grew up in Kalispell, and after being away for 14 years she was eager to return to the Flathead Valley. Kathleen’s career in nursing began in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in nursing from Carroll College in Helena, Montana. She knew right away in nursing school that she was interested in women’s health, especially pregnancy. After graduation Kathleen began caring for women and their newborn babies, and soon was a labor and delivery nurse. During the next 10 years she moved around the western U.S. working in labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care nurseries, pediatrics and a large infertility clinic. Kathleen attended the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, earning a master’s in nursing, and in 2006 she became a board certified women’s health nurse practitioner. Kathleen enjoys getting to know her patients and helping women learn about their bodies, health maintenance and illness prevention. Kathleen is a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses. She is delighted to be part of the Flathead Valley community and enjoys all that it has to offer.
