Juan Martinez-Poyer, MD

Juan Martinez-Poyer, MD, joined Logan Health in March 2017 as a maternal-fetal medicine specialist with Logan Health Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Martinez-Poyer originally comes from Venezuela, but has spent extensive time in the U.S. training and practicing at such institutions as Baylor College of Medicine, the University of Oklahoma, Yale University and Wayne State University. With 32 years of experience in his field, he has received accolades from his time at Wayne State University, Three Rivers Area Hospital in Michigan and as a private practice physician at Northwest Perinatal Center in Portland, Oregon. Prior to joining KRH, Dr. Martinez-Poyer was practicing as a fetal interventionist at the Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment at the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). When not at work he enjoys cooking, hiking and traveling with his wife and son.
