The annual community health fair hosted by Logan Health – Conrad will be held Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Conrad High School Gymnasium. Entry for the event is free and includes activities, educational booths, the opportunity to win prizes, and more.
When you visit the health fair at the high school, Logan Health – Conrad and Conrad High School asks that you please park either on Michigan Street, 4th Avenue or at the old tennis court area and only enter the gym using the west side doors.
Lab and PSA screens are available during the health fair for $50 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Those who are planning to have their labs drawn, it is recommended to arrive as early as possible, drink plenty of water and fast from midnight until after the lab drawing. There will be a variety of healthy snacks for those who participate in the lab draws. Payment for services during the health fair must be made at the time of registration. Cash, check and money orders will be accepted.
The Pondera Health Department will also be providing the Care Van for flu shots. Departments from Logan Health – Conrad and many other local health-related organizations will each have booths with hands-on demonstrations. There will also be an opportunity to learn more about Logan Health’s free CNA class and other health care professions. Door prizes and giveaways will be available throughout the health fair, as well as complimentary beverages and healthy snacks.
A new addition to this year’s community health fair is a “Strollin’ Through the Colon” exhibit. Experience the highly interactive, educational display of a large-scale model of the human colon. Through examples of various colon issues, young kids and adults will see first-hand the problems that can develop within the human colon from hemorrhoids to colon cancer.
