The Logan Health Foundation raised more than $13,000 in support of local suicide prevention resources during the “Let’s Talk About It” game held on Tuesday, August 27. The event, bolstered by a $5,000 matching donation from Glacier Bank, was hosted in collaboration with the Glacier Range Riders, advocating for mental health awareness in the community.

The funds raised will directly support Logan Health initiatives aimed at addressing the growing mental health needs in the region, with a focus on suicide prevention.

As part of the evening’s highlights, the Range Riders honored the event’s top five donors with framed “Let’s Talk About It” jerseys, commemorating their commitment to the cause. Among the top donors was Cooke Thompson, Financial Manager and Dental Hygienist at Kalispell KiDDS, whose contribution was driven by a personal connection to the issue.

“We lost one of our dental assistants six years ago to suicide, and our office has a fund in her name that we donate to suicide prevention each year,” Thompson said. “We made a pact as an office that we would find something each year to embody her spirit and support mental health – and this event seemed perfect. She would have been right there with us, cheering on the team. As an office, we have lost coworkers, colleagues and patients to suicide, and we are proud to support our community in helping those in need.”

Thompson’s donation, alongside contributions from other key donors, underscores a growing community effort to combat suicide and enhance mental health resources across Montana. The Logan Health Foundation expressed its deep gratitude to all who contributed, emphasizing the critical role these donations will play in strengthening the region’s mental health services.

The top donors recognized at the event included:

  • Jenn Seibert
  • Brad Reisinger
  • Kate Moseley
  • Courtney Rudbach
  • Cooke Thompson
