Located within each Logan Health hospital in Chester, Conrad, Cut Bank and Shelby are welcoming rooms designated for adult or pediatric outpatient infusion therapy patients equipped with comfortable reclining chairs and beds, personal televisions, warm blankets, snacks and beverages. A team of experienced, highly qualified staff, including registered nurses, CNAs and pharmacists, are present to deliver personalized care to meet the patient’s individual needs.

Prescribed by a health care clinician, infusion therapy treatments are available for a variety of conditions, such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, migraines, anemia and ulcerative colitis. Infusion therapy can also deliver nutrients, hydration, antibiotics, and other medications that can’t be taken orally or that need to be dispensed at a controlled pace, often intravenously.

“While we typically schedule outpatient infusions during business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), we accommodate the patient and what works best for them,” said Courtney Hovland, Logan Health – Shelby Director of Nursing. “Patients can always call us with questions regarding infusions and our capabilities. We want to do whatever we can to help patients stay close to home.”

“Conrad’s comprehensive infusion therapy services allow patients to receive their infusions and injections close to home, which is especially beneficial during the cold and icy winter months,” said Kristen Russell, Director of Pharmacy at Logan Health – Conrad. “Providers and patients can always call us with questions regarding infusions, and our experienced team of healthcare professionals are here to help.”

Due to the growing need for outpatient infusion therapy, Logan Health facilities on the Hi-Line also are focusing on creating newly remodeled and comfortably designed infusion rooms. Logan Health in Conrad and Cut Bank have most recently constructed a new space to care for infusion patients.

The Cut Bank Elks Club, Rockies Healthcare Foundation and the Wishing Well Project collectively donated a total of $6,864 towards new reclining chairs at Logan Health – Cut Bank.

“With the new infusion room, we now have a dedicated area to provide a quiet, comfortable, and private environment for our patients to relax while receiving their infusions,” said Crystal Losing, Logan Health – Cut Bank Chief Nursing Officer.

Whether a treatment lasts 20 minutes, several hours or days, patients can expect high-quality care, while experiencing intimate and personalized care close to home. That is a commitment each local Logan Health facility delivers.
