Stella Hutchins, MD, is a native Montanan, born in Ronan and primarily raised in Kalispell. Dr. Hutchins earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from The College of Idaho. For the following two years, she traveled internationally and volunteered at clinics to help underserved patients; worked as a raft guide; and she taught people with disabilities how to ski. She returned stateside and earned her medical degree from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Dr. Hutchins has returned to Montana to complete her residency training. Her professional interests are focused on rural and global medicine, behavioral health, preventive medicine and wilderness medicine. When not at work, Dr. Hutchins enjoys exploring outside, eating ice cream or sleeping.
